What is Coaching?
Coaching is a special kind of a partnership
relationship, with a client directed purpose, marked by
honesty, respect, and mutual goals. Client and coach
work together to identify and accomplish specific goals.
Coaching deliverables can be some or all of the
following: perspective, validation, energy, structure,
resources, options, encouragement, caring, feedback,
accountability, challenge, etc.
What Coaching is not. Coaching is not therapy,
counseling, or consulting. Our Coaching process is different from
our
"Performance Consulting" in that it focuses on one
person at a time (rather than large groups);
it is internal/intrinsic motivation (rather than
extrinsic motivation); and the client is the
expert on their own life (not the coach).
How does the process work? Coaches and
clients usually meet (could be over the phone or in
person) for a regularly
scheduled meeting one time per week
for 30 to 60 minutes. They work on the clients goals and
objectives. Other meetings or communications occur as
needed. There is usually a three month minimum
commitment which can be altered by either party.
What are our areas of
specialization? This coaching practice
primarily works with successful persons who are working
through midlife transitions - shifting their focus from
"success" to "significance" and possibly,
starting to consider retirement issues. We also work
with entrepreneurs, small business owners, presenters, and high
potential sales persons.
What are typical fees? Fee structures
depend on the specifics of the situation, but normally
range from $350 to $650 per month.
